ENC Appoints James Smith as Regional Sales Manager for the Southeast USA
New sales team addition supports ENC’s customer engagement and growth strategy as transit bus production resumes
RIVERSIDE, CALIFORNIA, USA – May 5, 2025 – ElDorado National California Inc. (“ENC”), a U.S. based transit bus manufacturer and subsidiary of Rivaz Inc., today announced the appointment of James Smith as Regional Sales Manager for the Southeast United States. Smith will report to Daniel Trujillo, Vice President of Sales and Marketing, and will focus on supporting transit agencies and contractors across the region.
Smith brings extensive expertise in manufacturing operations, customer support, and the transit bus industry. He spent six years with New Flyer of America as a Customer Program Manager, where he oversaw a $200 million portfolio and played a key role in zero-emission project execution. With deep experience across the entire bus build process – from order to delivery – Smith understands how to align engineering, production, and customer requirements to ensure agencies receive on-spec vehicles that perform reliably in real-world operations.
“James brings a strong operational and customer-focused background to our team,” said Daniel Trujillo, Vice President of Sales and Marketing at ENC. “His understanding of transit bus manufacturing, zero-emission bus adoption, and what agencies need from a supplier makes him a powerful resource for customers navigating today’s vehicle and procurement challenges.”
ENC recently announced the restart of transit bus production at its Riverside facility, marking a significant milestone under Rivaz ownership. The company is now fully operational and accepting orders for its Altoona-tested, Buy America-compliant buses, offering a range of propulsion options including battery-electric, diesel-electric hybrid, compressed natural gas (CNG), and clean diesel.
“I’m excited to join ENC at this pivotal time,” said Smith. “With production resuming imminently and a strong commitment to quality and customer service, I look forward to working with agencies across the Southeast to provide reliable transit solutions.”
Smith’s appointment supports ENC’s continued resurgence, as the company prepares to resume production next month. ENC is actively accepting orders for its full portfolio of Altoona-tested buses, including battery-electric, diesel-electric hybrid, CNG, and clean diesel models – all manufactured end-to-end at the company’s Riverside, California facility.
ENC is an approved Transit Vehicle Manufacturer (TVM) under the Federal Transit Administration, meeting Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) program compliance requirements for federally funded procurements.
