ENC Secures Order From York Region Transit For three 32-Foot E-Z Rider II Clean Diesel Buses
RIVERSIDE, CALIFORNIA, USA – June 8, 2026 – ENC® (“ENC” or the “Company”), a U.S.-based transit bus manufacturer and subsidiary of Rivaz Inc., today announced that York Region Transit (“YRT”) has placed an order for three 32-foot E-Z Rider II® clean diesel transit buses. The vehicles will be procured through City View Bus Sales & Service Ltd. (“City View”), ENC’s authorized Canadian dealer. Since 2005, City View and ENC have supplied nearly 90 E-Z Rider II® buses to YRT.
The new buses will support YRT’s conventional fixed-route service across the Regional Municipality of York in Ontario, Canada, delivering the accessibility, durability, and operational versatility that mid-size urban and suburban routes demand. The 32-foot length is ideal in size and capacity for specific routes within the region, where 40-foot buses are not suitable.
“York Region Transit serves a growing community, and we are proud they have chosen ENC to help carry that service forward,” said Jason Lee, Chief Executive Officer of ENC. “The E-Z Rider II is engineered for exactly this kind of work, and this order reflects the confidence transit agencies across North America are placing in our products, our people, and our delivery.”
“York Region Transit set a high bar, and ENC met it,” said Joseph D’Urso, President of City View. “These are reliable, accessible buses built to perform, and we’re glad to help bring them to riders across York Region.”
YRT provides public transit service for the Regional Municipality of York, composed of nine municipalities with a population surpassing 1.2 million and located just north of Toronto in Ontario, Canada. YRT operates conventional fixed-route, express, and on-demand services connecting communities throughout the region, and delivering nearly 24 million rides per year.
“This order reflects the strength of our partnership with City View and the trust YRT has placed in both of us,” said John Obert, Vice President of Transit Sales at ENC. “Working with City View, who knows the Canadian market firsthand, means we can support YRT well beyond delivery.”
The new buses will be manufactured at ENC’s ISO 9001-certified facility in Jurupa Valley, a 227,000-square-foot operation encompassing production, from frame welding to final inspection. Since assuming ownership of ENC in 2024, Rivaz has invested more than $50 million in facility and equipment upgrades, workforce development and upskilling, and planned expansions.
“Reliable, accessible vehicles are the foundation of the service we provide to our riders every day,” said Richard Montoya, Director, York Region Transit. “The E-Z Rider II buses from ENC will help us deliver safe, comfortable, and dependable transit to the communities we serve across York Region.”
ENC transit buses are available in 30-, 32-, 33-, 35-, and 40-foot configurations, offering fleet operators comprehensive sizing flexibility.
